Morning thought

winter

Since years I use to spend mornings in silence and meditation: in order to sort my thoughts for the day with all its challenges, emotions and inspirations. The image above came to my mind – and Neil Gaiman’s beautiful words. Originally written as new year’s wishes, they perfectly fit the current situation and challenges of Corona virus.

»Be kind to yourself in the year ahead.
Remember to forgive yourself, and to forgive others. It’s too easy to be outraged these days, so much harder to change things, to reach out, to understand.
Try to make your time matter: minutes and hours and days and weeks can blow away like dead leaves, with nothing to show but time you spent not quite ever doing things, or time you spent waiting to begin.
(…)
Smile too much. And, when you can, love.«

No resolutions for these strange times we live in. But maybe something to reflect on, to pass on .. like another famous quote to answer Neil Gaiman’s quote above:

»…And yes I said yes I will YES.«*
